About Our Client

Our client is a top-tier Chinese mutual fund house with a strong global presence, particularly leading in equity products across Europe and the Middle East. The firm has established UCITS and Cayman structures and recently expanded its product suite in Hong Kong, including ETFs, fixed income, and multi-asset products. While institutional capabilities are proven globally, the Hong Kong ETF business is still at an early stage.

Job Description

  • Develop and expand ETF institutional client coverage, including sovereign wealth funds, pensions, asset managers, and large financial institutions.
  • Focus on underpenetrated markets such as Asia (e.g., Korea, Southeast Asia) and selective global regions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, driving ETF adoption and mandate opportunities.
  • Position ETF and broader product capabilities (equities, fixed income, multi-asset) to institutional investors.
  • Collaborate with internal investment, product, and global sales teams to support client engagement and solutions delivery.
  • Execute roadshows, client meetings, and thought leadership initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
  • Monitor market trends and investor demand to refine institutional sales strategy.

The Successful Applicant

  • Solid experience in ETF institutional sales.
  • Strong track record covering institutional clients.
  • Native or near-native Cantonese and English proficiency; strong international client-facing capability.
  • Deep understanding of ETF products and institutional investment frameworks.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate in a build-up phase environment.
  • Strong cultural adaptability to bridge international and Chinese asset management practices.
