Job Description

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental research across nuclear, lithium, and energy storage value chains
  • Develop sector frameworks, industry maps, and investment theses aligned with China's dual-carbon (双碳) strategy
  • Perform financial modeling, valuation analysis, and scenario forecasting
  • Identify investment opportunities across public and/or private market
  • Track policy developments, regulatory trends, and technological innovation in the new energy space
  • Produce high-quality research reports and present actionable investment recommendations
  • Build relationships with management teams, industry experts, and research networks
  • Collaborate closely with portfolio managers and senior leadership on investment strategies

The Successful Applicant

Job Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience in equity research, buy-side investment, or industry research
  • Proven experience covering new energy sectors, particularly nuclear, lithium, or energy storage
  • Background in top-tier investment banks, asset managers, private equity/venture capital firms, or leading research houses preferred
  • Familiarity with policy-driven sectors and SOE-related ecosystems is a strong advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of new energy industry value chains and key players
  • Solid financial modeling and valuation capabilities
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to convert macro and policy trends into actionable investment insights
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Energy, or related fields
  • Advanced qualifications (e.g., CFA, MBA, or relevant technical background) are preferred
