Job Description

As a DBA (Oracle 19), your main responsibilities will include:

  • Administer Oracle 19 databases to maintain reliable day-to-day system operation.
  • Monitor database performance and address issues to support stable technology services.
  • Manage database configuration and maintenance activities in line with operational needs.
  • Review database capacity and performance trends to help maintain service availability.
  • Investigate database incidents and apply practical fixes to restore normal service.
  • Coordinate database changes with relevant technology teams to reduce disruption.
  • Maintain clear documentation for database settings, changes and operational procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful DBA (Oracle 19) should have:

  • Practical capability in administering Oracle 19 databases.
  • Experience monitoring database performance and resolving operational issues.
  • Ability to manage database maintenance and configuration activities.
  • Experience investigating technical incidents and identifying effective solutions.
  • Ability to document database changes and operational procedures clearly.
  • Confidence working with technology colleagues on planned database changes.
