A fintech firm is seeking an AML Compliance Officer & MLRO to oversee its Hong Kong AML/CFT framework, regulatory compliance, and financial crime risk management programme. The role will serve as the key regulatory liaison and provide compliance advisory to senior management while ensuring adherence to local licensing requirements.

Job Description

As a Compliance / AMLCO, your main responsibilities will include:

    • Act as the designated AMLCO & MLRO, overseeing the firm's AML/CFT and financial crime compliance framework.
    • Support the acquisition of the Hong Kong MSO licence, including regulatory engagement and licence application submissions.
    • Develop and maintain AML policies, procedures, and controls in line with regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee KYC, CDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and suspicious transaction reporting.
    • Serve as the primary liaison with regulators and advise senior management on compliance and financial crime risks.
    • Deliver compliance training and promote a strong culture of compliance across the business.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Candidate should have:

    • 10-12+ years of AML/CFT and compliance experience within an MSO, payments, fintech, banking, or regulated financial services environment.
    • Strong knowledge of Hong Kong AML regulations, including experience with KYC/CDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious transaction reporting.
    • Prior experience working with or supporting MSO-licensed businesses and regulatory engagements.
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and regulators.
    • ACAMS, ICA, or other relevant compliance qualifications preferred.
    • Fluent in English
