Job Description

* End-to-End BI Solution Development: Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade Power BI reports, dashboards, and apps.

* SSAS Model Development & Management:

    • Design, build, and maintain Tabular SSAS models (primary focus) and/or Multidimensional models.
    • Implement and optimize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.
    • Define and manage hierarchies, perspectives, and row-level security (RLS) within SSAS to ensure data security and a tailored user experience.
    • Optimize model performance through partitioning, aggregation design, and efficient DAX.



* Data Integration: Connect to various data sources (SQL Server, Oracle DB, APIs, etc.), perform data transformations using Power Query (M language), and establish efficient data loading patterns.

* Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of both Power BI reports and underlying SSAS models for large datasets.

    • Deployment & Governance: Manage the deployment of Power BI content and SSAS models across development, test, and production environments. Adhere to and help define data governance and BI best practices.

The Successful Applicant

* 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing interactive reports and dashboards with Microsoft Power BI.

* Proven, in-depth project experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), specifically Tabular models.

* Strong proficiency in DAX for creating complex calculations and time-intelligence functions.

* Advanced skills in SQL and T-SQL for querying and data manipulation.

* Experience with Power Query for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

* Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schemas, dimensions, facts).

* Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.

* Understanding of version control systems like Git for BI projects.
