This role offers the opportunity to influence global sourcing decisions while managing strategic relationships with key manufacturing partners.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies across key furniture categories.
  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to support growth and business objectives.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers while driving capability development across existing partners.
  • Lead price negotiations and cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, raw material movements, and supplier competitiveness.
  • Deliver margin improvements while balancing quality, innovation, and supply continuity.
  • Partner with product, buying, and technical teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure on-time delivery and execution of seasonal and strategic product plans.
  • Work closely with quality and compliance teams to ensure supplier adherence to company standards.
  • Drive responsible sourcing and sustainability initiatives throughout the supply base.
  • Collaborate with global sourcing, merchandising, supply chain, and commercial teams.
  • Provide supplier and market insights to support strategic business decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional projects that enhance sourcing effectiveness and operational performance.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Product Development, or a related discipline.
  • 10 years of sourcing, procurement, buying, category management, or supplier management experience within furniture, home furnishings, homeware.
  • Strong understanding of furniture manufacturing, materials, costing, and supplier management.
  • Proven track record managing suppliers across Asia.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within fast-paced international retail or consumer goods environments.
  • Knowledge of sustainability, responsible sourcing, and compliance requirements is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluent English communication skills; additional Asian languages would be beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel across Asia as required.
