Job Description

As a Software Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications and APIs.
  • Build scalable microservices and distributed systems using modern Java technologies.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and technical planning activities.
  • Support application deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to automation, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Promote engineering excellence through knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Software Engineer should have:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
  • Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and modern backend development frameworks.
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Good understanding of software development best practices, including testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Comfortable working in Linux-based environments.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
  • Experience with DevOps tooling and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Background in financial services, capital markets, banking, or risk management.
