Our client is seeking a highly skilled Sales Trader to join their expanding trading desk in Hong Kong. This person will be responsible for executing trades on behalf of their institutional clients, managing client relationships, and providing them market insights.

Job Description

  • Execute trades on behalf of institutional clients accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring optimal pricing and execution quality
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, providing them timely market updates and insights
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance trading technology and algorithms
  • Monitor trading activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies

The Successful Applicant

  • Licensed person (Type 1) under SFC
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales trading role
  • Proven track record of executing high-volume trades and managing client relationships
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments and strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
  • Proficiency in trading platforms and tools, with experience in algorithmic trading being a plus
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in trading
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
