Job Description

As a Senior Operations Risk Manager, your main responsibilities will include:



  • Lead operational risk management for Capital Markets Operations and Financing, Trade & Payment Operations across APAC and the Middle East, ensuring a robust risk and control framework.


  • Develop and execute independent Level 2.2 control plans, perform risk assessments, monitor key risk indicators (KRIs), and oversee the effectiveness of operational controls.


  • Investigate operational incidents, challenge remediation plans proposed by operational teams, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.


  • Coordinate regional Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), operational risk mapping exercises, and governance activities to maintain consistency across the region.


  • Produce management reporting, risk dashboards, and KPI analysis while acting as the key operational risk liaison between regional teams, Head Office, and local risk stakeholders.


  • Drive risk awareness and training initiatives, promoting strong operational risk culture and control standards throughout the organization.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Operations Risk Manager should have:



  • 10+ years of experience within investment banking operations, operational risk, control, or governance functions, ideally with exposure to capital markets and post-trade environments.


  • Strong knowledge of operational risk frameworks, including RCSA, risk assessments, control testing, incident management, risk mapping, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).


  • A solid understanding of banking products, operations processes, and post-trade activities, with the ability to identify and challenge operational risks effectively.


  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage senior management and challenge business decisions when necessary.


  • Experience working in a regional or international environment, coordinating across multiple locations and functions.


  • A degree in Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline, together with strong English language skills;
