About Our Client

The Senior Legal Counsel will be a key member of the Enforcement Division, providing legal advice and support on regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, disciplinary proceedings, and litigation matters. The role requires a commercially minded and technically strong lawyer with significant litigation experience, capable of managing complex cases and working closely with investigators, senior management, external counsel, and relevant stakeholders.

Job Description

  • Provide legal advice and support on regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, disciplinary proceedings, and related matters.
  • Assess evidence and legal issues arising from investigations and recommend appropriate enforcement strategies.
  • Advise investigation teams on litigation risks, evidentiary requirements, procedural fairness, and regulatory powers.
  • Manage litigation and enforcement proceedings before courts, tribunals, and disciplinary committees.
  • Instruct and oversee external counsel, experts, and other professional advisers where required.
  • Participate in interviews, evidence gathering, and case assessment exercises.
  • Support the development of enforcement policies, internal procedures, and legal precedents.



The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong with a minimum 6 years' post-qualification experience gained from a leading international or reputable local law firm.
  • Strong background in commercial litigation, white-collar crime, or contentious regulatory matters.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience dealing with regulators, law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, or public sector organizations would be advantageous.
  • Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
