A leading financial institution is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support its corporate banking division, with a particular focus on custody-related products and services. The role will provide legal advice across business initiatives, regulatory matters and commercial arrangements while partnering closely with senior stakeholders.

Our client is a well-established international financial institution with a strong presence across corporate and institutional banking.

Job Description

As a Senior Legal Counsel, your main responsibilities will include:

    • Provide legal advice on custody, trust and corporate banking products.
    • Support business initiatives, regulatory projects and digital transformation programmes.
    • Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and client documentation.
    • Develop legal templates, policies and internal governance frameworks.
    • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise relevant stakeholders.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Legal Counsel should have:

    • Qualified solicitor with substantial post-qualification experience.
    • Strong banking and finance legal experience gained in private practice or reputable bank/financial institution.
    • Experience supporting custody, trustee or institutional services is highly preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, with Mandarin advantageous.
