Job Description

As a Scrum Master, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Identifying and addressing any impediments or challenges faced by the team.
  • Encouraging continuous improvement and fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency.
  • Supporting the Product Owner in backlog management and prioritization.
  • Monitoring and reporting on team performance and project progress.
  • Ensuring adherence to Agile principles and methodologies within the team.
  • Providing coaching and guidance to team members on Agile best practices.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Scrum Master should have:

  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate Agile teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration.
  • Experience in the insurance industry or technology projects is preferred.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenges proactively.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent are an advantage.
