Job Description

As a Residential Property Project Director, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the planning and execution of construction projects.
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to align objectives.
  • Monitoring project progress and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Overseeing procurement processes and managing resources effectively.
  • Maintaining compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements.
  • Providing regular updates to stakeholders on project status.
  • Managing and mentoring project teams to achieve optimal performance.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in major real estate construction or property development, with at least 10 years on the developer/client side.
  • Project Track Record: Proven success delivering large-scale, high-value residential developments from inception to completion.
  • Professional Affiliations: Chartered or Registered professional status is a must (e.g., HKIE, HKIA, HKIS, RICS, RIBA, CIOB, or PMP).
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Proficient in local building codes, town planning ordinances, and statutory approval processes.
    • Strong commercial acumen with deep experience in contract law, project financing, and risk allocation.
    • Exceptional matrix-leadership capabilities, with a track record of managing multi-disciplinary consultant teams and reporting directly to board-level executives.
