Job Description

As a Legal Director, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing legal advice and guidance on a range of matters for the Global Markets business.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents related to Equity Derivative, Brokerage and Wealth Management
  • Advise stakeholders on legal, regulatory, and governance matters across regulated financial services activities.
  • Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks, providing practical solutions that support business growth while maintaining compliance

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

    • Approximately 10+ years of post-qualification experience gained in private practice and/or in-house within the financial services sector.
    • Experience supporting regulated financial institutions and advising on global markets, brokerage, equity derivative or wealth management matters.
    • Proven leadership capability with experience managing teams or mentoring junior lawyers.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English and Chinese.
