Job Description

Portfolio Enhancement & Value Creation

  • Partner with portfolio company management teams to support value creation initiatives, including market expansion, revenue growth, operational improvement, and strategic transformation projects.
  • Assist in tracking portfolio performance, KPIs, and strategic milestones, and support preparation of materials for senior management and Boards.
  • Support evaluation and execution of strategic initiatives such as market entry, product expansion, pricing reviews, partnerships, and selective M&A.



Market, Industry & Thematic Research

  • Conduct in-depth market, industry, and competitor research across North Asia markets, with a strong focus on Japan.
  • Identify and analyse thematic investment opportunities, market trends, and structural growth drivers to support investment theses.
  • Prepare high-quality research outputs to support both new investments and portfolio strategy discussions.



Investment & Deal Support

  • Support deal sourcing, evaluation, and execution for M&A and strategic investments involving the group and its portfolio companies.
  • Build and review financial models and valuation analyses (e.g. DCF, trading/comparable analysis, transaction comps).



The Successful Applicant

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in management consulting including rom Big 4 firms, particularly those with experience in Deal Advisory, Transaction Services, Valuation, or M&A teams, with demonstrable exposure to deal execution and financial analysis, corporate finance, or principal investing.
  • Japanese language proficiency (reading and speaking) is strongly preferred
  • Prior exposure to portfolio value creation, post-investment initiatives, or strategic project work is highly desirable.
  • Experience covering Japan or North Asia markets is a strong advantage.
