As part of its next phase of growth, the organization is seeking a Head of Data and AI to build and lead its AI capabilities, drive large-scale transformation initiatives, and accelerate the adoption of data-driven business practices across the enterprise.

Job Description

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing data science strategies to align with business goals.
  • Leading a team of data scientists and AI specialists to deliver impactful projects.
  • Implementing advanced AI models to optimise operations and customer experience.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into decision-making processes.
  • Overseeing the collection, cleaning, and analysis of large datasets.
  • Staying updated on emerging trends and technologies in data science and AI.
  • Ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

The Successful Applicant

Required Experience

  • 12+ years' experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, AI, or Machine Learning.
  • Proven leadership experience managing sizeable analytics and AI teams.
  • Experience delivering enterprise AI transformation programmes.
  • Background within insurance, financial services, banking, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence C-level stakeholders and business leaders.



Technical ExpertiseStrong understanding of and technical capabilities in:

  • Machine Learning
  • Deep Learning
  • Natural Language Processing
  • Generative AI / LLMs
  • Predictive Analytics
  • MLOps and AI Platforms
  • Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Modern data ecosystems and data engineering practices
