About Our Client

An established listed manufacturing group serving leading global consumer and industrial brands is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function at a major manufacturing site in Southern China.

Job Description

  • Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounting team, ensuring high standards of performance, governance, and financial stewardship.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, management reports, and business performance analyses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing and operations teams to improve plant efficiency, productivity, cost controls, and overall operational performance.
  • Conduct detailed cost accounting and profitability analysis, providing actionable insights and recommendations to regional and headquarters management.
  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business decision-making and strategic objectives.
  • Strengthen and maintain internal controls, financial processes, and compliance frameworks while leading finance-related improvement and system enhancement projects.
  • Ensure full compliance with PRC accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and external audit obligations, while serving as a key finance business partner to local and corporate stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, HKICPA, or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience within a sizable manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing finance and cost accounting.
  • Prior training or experience gained from big4 audit firm is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial acumen, with experience providing financial insights to support operational and strategic business decisions.
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin required to be considered for this position.
  • Open to candidates with less experience but relevant background as Finance Manager title.
