About Our Client

Our client is a global Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) company with operations across APAC. They specialize in smart home, appliance control, energy management, medical, and industrial electronic products. To support continued business growth, they are looking for an experienced engineering leader to oversee their global OEM Engineering function.

Job Description

  • Lead and develop a global engineering team covering hardware, software, firmware, mechanical, and related disciplines
  • Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) from product design through mass production
  • Partner closely with customers to deliver successful Manufacturing projects
  • Ensure best practices in design, quality, manufacturability, and cost management
  • Manage engineering resources, project execution, and global capacity planning
  • Drive innovation in IoT, AI, cloud-connected, and embedded technologies
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams to achieve business objectives
  • Act as the key engineering contact for strategic customers and stakeholders
  • Establish engineering KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives across global sites

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 15+ years of engineering leadership experience within EMS, ODM, or electronics manufacturing
  • Proven experience leading large, global engineering teams
  • Strong background in NPI, product development, and manufacturing environments
  • Broad technical knowledge across hardware, software, firmware, and mechanical engineering
  • Experience in IoT, embedded systems, or smart products is an advantage
  • Strong customer-facing, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities
  • Commercially minded with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent English required; Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an advantage
