Job Description

As a Digital Business Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the preparation of business requirements to support project delivery.
  • Support managers in ideation by leveraging customer insights, market research, Design Thinking, and business justification techniques (e.g., customer journey mapping).
  • Develop and maintain product backlogs, including writing and refining user stories.
  • Create business epics and detailed user stories with clear and robust acceptance criteria within agreed timelines.
  • Act as a key contributor in the development and delivery of digital products within assigned business areas.
  • Ensure digital solutions meet business requirements and are ready for customer release by supporting in-sprint testing, pre-release UAT, and live validation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including UX Design, Engineering, Solution Architecture, and Quality Assurance throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Conduct in-depth impact analysis and assess technical feasibility of customer journeys to inform front-end and back-end solution design.
  • Create and optimize digital content across platforms (Mobile, Internet Banking, Public Website, and Digital Messaging) to enhance user experience.
  • Continuously improve digital platforms by working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and project teams.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Digital Business Analyst should have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to drive tasks to completion.
  • Ability to quickly understand customer needs, operational considerations, and associated risks.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in requirements management, preferably within digital transformation projects in the banking industry.
  • Solid understanding of digital products and platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to escalate risks, issues, and blockers effectively.
  • Good knowledge of Design Thinking, customer-centric design, and agile methodologies/frameworks.
  • Ability to balance risks, effort, and benefits to optimize cost efficiency and customer experience.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a "can-do" attitude and willingness to think creatively to overcome challenges.
  • Open to learning new technologies and stepping outside of comfort zones.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Confluence, and comfortable using Microsoft Teams for collaboration.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to address diverse and sometimes conflicting priorities.
