The organization is investing significantly in data governance, digital transformation, and AI-enablement capabilities to support innovation, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making.Job DescriptionAs a Data Governance Manager, your main responsibilities will include:Analysing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of enterprise Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls.Drive governance initiatives covering data quality, metadata management, classification, lineage, privacy, and access controls.Support governance adoption for both structured and unstructured data, improving accessibility, discoverability, and AI readiness.Assist in the deployment and optimization of data governance tools, including data catalogues, metadata repositories, lineage, and data quality solutions.Partner with business, risk, compliance, technology, and data stakeholders to establish sustainable governance practices.Support taxonomy, ontology, and enterprise data-tagging initiatives to improve data intelligence and knowledge management capabilities.Monitor governance compliance, control effectiveness, and data management processes, recommending continual improvements.Support data privacy, information protection, and regulatory compliance requirements within a highly regulated environment.Develop automation and reporting capabilities using SQL, Python, and governance tools to improve governance effectiveness and operational efficiency.The Successful ApplicantA successful Data Governance Manager should have:Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related disciplines.Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Data Stewardship, or Information Governance.Strong preference for candidates from Banking, Financial Services, Regulatory Bodies, Central Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, or Wealth Management environments.Practical experience implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and controls.Strong knowledge of:Metadata ManagementData Catalogue & LineageData Quality ManagementData Classification & TaggingData Privacy & Data ProtectionData Security & Access ControlsHands-on experience with enterprise data governance platforms and tooling.Advanced SQL skills for data profiling, analysis, and governance reporting.Working knowledge of Python for automation, data processing, and governance-related solutions.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.What's on OfferCompetitive monthly salary.Opportunity to contribute to strategic data governance and AI transformation initiatives.Exposure to regulatory-grade governance standards, enterprise-scale data environments, and emerging technologies.This role offers a role to contribute to impactful data governance initiatives.
