We are looking for an Analyst Programmer/System Analyst to join a retail industry technology team. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions for business operations in the New Territories.

Job Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications
  • Gather and analyse user requirements to propose technical solutions
  • Build and integrate systems using Spring Framework and Java EE
  • Develop and optimise database components using Oracle and PL/SQL
  • Implement and consume RESTful APIs and web services
  • Conduct unit testing, debugging, and system troubleshooting
  • Support system enhancements and ongoing maintenance tasks
  • Document technical specifications, workflows, and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in application development
  • At least 3 years in a similar Analyst Programmer / System Analyst role
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java EE and Spring Framework
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases, preferably Oracle and PL/SQL
  • Familiarity with REST services, JSF, Hibernate, or MyBatis is advantageous
  • Exposure to front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON
  • Knowledge of mobile development (iOS/Android) is a plus
  • Experience with tools like WebSphere or Eclipse-based IDEs preferred
  • Good understanding of SDLC methodologies
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication in English and Chinese
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration abilities
