Job Description

  • Define and lead the enterprise AI/ML architecture across cloud and on‑prem environments.
  • Design and scale end‑to‑end AI platforms, from data ingestion and feature engineering to model deployment and monitoring.
  • Partner with investment, risk, and operations teams to deliver AI solutions across the investment lifecycle (sourcing, diligence, portfolio monitoring).
  • Establish architectural standards for predictive analytics, NLP, LLM / GenAI, and advanced modeling use cases.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of AI engineers and data scientists, setting clear technical direction and delivery standards.
  • Oversee MLOps practices, including model lifecycle management, performance monitoring, and explainability.
  • Drive firm‑wide AI governance, ensuring responsible AI, transparency, and model risk management.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and risk teams to ensure secure, compliant AI deployments.
  • Evaluate and manage vendors, platforms, and strategic technology partners.
  • Act as a senior technical advisor to stakeholders, translating business and investment needs into scalable AI solutions.

The Successful Applicant

  • 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, data engineering, or advanced analytics, with 3-5+ years in an architecture or leadership role.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying production‑grade AI systems at enterprise scale.
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit‑learn).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data architectures.
  • Practical exposure to LLMs / GenAI (e.g., RAG, fine‑tuning, orchestration) and unstructured data.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing technical teams, including senior contributors.
  • Background in buyside financial services, asset management, private capital, hedge funds, or fintech strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of MLOps, model monitoring, and explainability in regulated environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage investment professionals and senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).
