An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Manager - Events Management to lead the planning and delivery of a high-profile, large-scale cultural and public engagement project. This role will focus on project coordination, stakeholder management, exhibition delivery, and operational execution, working closely with a diverse group of internal and external partners.

Job Description

  • Lead the planning, development, implementation and ongoing review of large-scale projects including exhibitions, public programs and engagement initiatives.
  • Drive project execution and oversee all phases of delivery to ensure alignment with objectives, timelines, budgets and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and manage project partners, consultants, vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and drive progress against agreed deliverables and milestones.
  • Collaborate across multiple departments and external organizations to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Monitor project performance and prepare reports, updates, and recommendations for senior management.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with governance and operational requirements.
  • Support additional strategic initiatives and special projects as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. Background in Arts, History, Cultural Studies, Heritage, Museum Studies, Project Management, or related fields is highly preferred.
  • Strong experience and interest in arts, culture, history, heritage, or public engagement projects.
  • Minimum 15 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Proven experience in project planning, budgeting, reporting, stakeholder management, and risk management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams within a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative working style.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese. Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
