Job Description

As a Senior Java Developer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, test, and deploy Java backend and Angular front-end applications for business-critical systems.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java, with hands-on experience in designing, coding, and optimizing backend solutions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment using Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Deploy and support applications on Linux VMs, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, QA, operations) to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Take ownership of the full application lifecycle, including monitoring and incident response.
  • Work with Sybase, PostgreSQL, and DB2 databases for data management.
  • Design and implement REST and SOAP web services for enterprise integration.
  • Publish application data for monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana integration managed by another team).
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • New team members will be mentored through the whole process by an experienced member.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Java Developer should have:

  • Proficient communication skills in English
  • 3-5 years of hands-on Java development experience, with a proven track record of delivering robust backend solutions.
  • Strong SQL skills, with hands-on experience in Sybase, PostgreSQL, and DB2.
  • Solid experience working with Linux operating systems, including shell scripting for automation and deployment tasks.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and n-tier architecture.
  • Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub).
  • Experience deploying applications on Linux environments.
  • Proficient communication skills in English.
