This role provides legal advice and support across a wide range of banking products, transactions and regulatory matters. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, external counsel and senior management to manage legal risk and support business growth.

Job Description

As a Legal Counsel, your main responsibilities will include:

    • Providing legal advice on banking operations and financial transactions.
    • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and agreements.
    • Support new product development and business initiatives from a legal perspective
    • Monitoring regulatory developments and assessing their impact on business operations.
    • Manage external legal advisers and oversee legal aspects of projects and transactions.
    • Develop policies, deliver training and help strengthen legal risk management frameworks.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

    • Qualified Hong Kong solicitor with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience
    • Experience gained within a reputable law firm and/or financial institution
    • Strong communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
    • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.
