About Our Client

A well-established international business is seeking a commercially minded finance leader to take on a high-impact finance manager role bridging Hong Kong management and China manufacturing operations.

Job Description

  • Lead finance operations for China manufacturing, sourcing and trading activities, providing commercial insights to enhance profitability and business performance.
  • Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, margin analysis and stock management to drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making.
  • Monitor transfer pricing compliance and profitability across manufacturing, sourcing, trading and distribution activities while identifying tax, customs and regulatory risks.
  • Spearhead Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP implementation, process automation and business transformation initiatives across Hong Kong and China operations.
  • Strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks and risk management processes, while supporting internal and external audit activities.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital and liquidity planning, ensuring adequate funding for operational requirements and identifying potential financial risks.
  • Lead, coach and develop the China-based finance team, fostering strong collaboration between Hong Kong management and factory operations while driving continuous improvement and accountability.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of experience in manufacturing finance, operational finance, costing, supply chain finance or other related disciplines.
  • Expertise in manufacturing costing, inventory valuation and management, profitability analysis, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Understanding of financial controls, corporate governance, working capital management, cash flow planning, and risk management.
  • Hands on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dynamics AX or similar platforms, including system implementation and process improvement projects.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with China operations, supported by strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A good understanding of transfer pricing principles and a track record of driving operational improvements and change management.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese is required to be considered for this position.
