This key position will report to the Vice President, Legal & Human Resources and work closely with the China commercial team. You will have the responsibilities of a wide range of intellectual property related activities in China, both contentious and non-contentious. You will provide legal support with respect to general IPR matters in China, including managing anti-counterfeiting issues, designing, developing, and implementing IPR strategy, conducting IP training to increase commercial team's awareness, and cooperate with external lawyers / investigators in taking necessary legal actions against counterfeiters. In addition, you will act as interface to the corporate legal and IPR department at the headquarter to ensure efficient communication and handling of IPR matters, and provide pragmatic advice to senior management on IPR related issues. This position will also have responsibility to liaise with customs authorities and external firms on IPR, investigation, and litigation related matters. Occasional business travel will be required.

Our client is a large conglomerate looking for a Paralegal to join their firm in the Intellectual Property department.

1：Provide transactional legal support for transactions with significant intellectual property and/or technology components, including research agreements, development agreements, license agreements (including patent license agreements), and mergers and acquisitions.
2：Be the "steward" of the legal aspects of key collaborative relationships by drafting, negotiating, and managing all relevant agreements.
3：Provide advice to senior management on intellectual property and technology transactions issues, including matters related to license grants, ownership, compliance, risk allocation, and payment provisions.
4：Identify and study industry deals/agreements in support of Company transactions.
5：Track and study developments in legislation and case law related to intellectual property and technology transactions.
6：Develop and maintain strong business relationships across the Company, including business development, research, and development organizations.
7：Provide high-quality, cost-effective legal support to the Company contributing to the achievement of the Company's goals and objectives.
