About Our Client

A well-known and reputable financial institution with excellent performance in recent years has appointed new leaders for the business, with upcoming plans to drive change for the organization. They have implemented most advanced HR systems, reviewed organization structure, and they are now planning to change practices and cultivate a data-driven and high performing business.

They are currently looking for a qualified and strategic Human Resources Business Partner to work with C-suite for back office functions, support the future direction of the business partnering function and drive the Human Resources agenda for the business.

Job Description

  • Working closely with C-Suite level, implement Group HR strategies, change management and key initiatives for dedicated departments, based on a profound understanding of the business situation/needs, functions, staff and the marketplace; thereby enhancing the talent attractiveness and business competitiveness
  • Consult/advise C-suite and management staff in the Hong Kong office on all relevant questions concerning both HR and organisational development matters, both regularly along the employee life cycle as well as ad-hoc to problem-solve specific staff/team issues, cultivating a highly productive and motivating working environment
  • Influence and educate line managers on the performance management approach, communication and tools in the context of the year-end process and beyond
  • Manage compensation reviews within the matrix organization structure, and support/challenge managers to enable an equitable outcome
  • Ensure that staff competencies correspond to the business future needs. Facilitate/drive talent reviews and succession planning across all sectors and introduce/foster effective learning and development initiatives, drawing on internal/external best practices
  • Implement guiding principles, HR policies and practices as well as regulatory framework to ensure adherence of leaders and staff to these requirements
  • Foster collaboration both within the Hong Kong HR team as well with the key internal/external stakeholders
  • Manage various HR projects, including staff development and engagement program, supporting HRIS system implementation process, internal mobility initiatives

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor degree holder, ideally with an international or overseas background
  • 15+ years' experience in a globally matrixed organisation from Financial services Industry
  • Full spectrum of HR Business Partnering competencies managing large-scale transformation projects and ability to drive change across all levels of employees
  • Experience in covering back office / operations team would be highly advantageous
  • Fluency in English and Chinese, competent in conducting presentations in front of senior leadership teams
  • Agile, flexible, capable at taking up challenges and change mgmt. while hands on and data driven
  • Equipped with a futuristic mindset to cope with upcoming transformation process
  • Strong communication, advisory and influencing skills
