Job Description

  • Manage the financial reporting process of the Hong Kong Branch
  • Ensure the accurate monthly reporting process
  • Perform assessment on the accounting treatment for current / new products and business
  • Review and implement new accounting standards and ensuring it's properly implemented
  • Ensure the tax filings / returns are adequately prepared and submitted
  • Provide accounting and tax advice to Business Units when required
  • Coordinate, collaborate and participate in accounting related initiatives for the Asia Pacific region
  • Manage internal and external audits and attend to regulatory inquiries
  • Maintain the Policies & Procedures applicable to the Financial Control area to ensure a proper control & governance framework is in place

The Successful Applicant

* Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines and a qualified accountant
* Minimum 10 years of work experience in financial institutions or CPA firms preferably in banks
* Strong knowledge on the financial control and regulatory framework for banks
* Strong knowledge on corporate banking products and the related treatments in IFRS
* Strong analytical skills, detail/accuracy oriented
* Self-motivated, ability to work independently and research into new areas
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle difficult situations
