Our client is a major player in the private equity space. They are urgently looking for a Data Operations contractor to join their Private Markets business. The candidate must know SQL, data manipulation, Tableau/Power BI and have a general understanding of financial statements and reporting. The ideal candidate should have buy-side exposure, Snowflake/Databricks and/or private markets experience although this is not a must.

About Our Client

The ideal candidate should have buy-side exposure, Snowflake/Databricks and/or private markets experience although this is not a must.

Strong business acumen and communication skills in English is mandatory, Mandarin would definitely be an advantage.

Job Description

  • Responsible for data collection and reporting needs for investment and portfolio management teams
  • Drive consistent data management, ensuring a central hub for data from onboarding to exit activities, focusing on data accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor data quality controls to rectify any identified issues promptly and collaborate with the Global Data Operations team to support data initiatives across functions
  • Produce high-quality reports, dashboards, and handle ad-hoc data requests for APAC teams
  • Contribute to global data projects at the company, offering data and analytics support for enhanced decision-making

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Statistics, Business Administration or any relevant discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in data management, ideally in private markets/buy-side
  • Experienced in Excel, SQL, data manipulation (joins, pivot tables), and Tableau/Power BI
  • Good understanding of financial statements
  • Excellent business communication skills in English is mandatory, Mandarin is highly preferred
  • Strong business acumen, team player, proactive and has a strong sense of integrity
