Job Description

  1. Perform daily cash management activities, including cash position monitoring, cash flow forecasting, and fund transfers between accounts.
  2. Execute foreign exchange transactions, including spot trades, forwards, and swaps, to manage currency exposure and optimize funding costs.
  3. Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to facilitate efficient treasury operations and explore funding opportunities.
  4. Prepare and analyze treasury reports, including liquidity reports, interest rate risk reports, and foreign exchange exposure reports.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of treasury policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Support treasury projects and initiatives, such as system enhancements, process improvements, and automation of treasury activities.
  7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance, risk management, and business teams, to provide treasury support and address funding needs.
  8. Monitor market trends and economic indicators to assess potential impacts on treasury operations and provide recommendations.
  9. Assist in the management of the bank's investment portfolio, including evaluating investment opportunities and monitoring investment performance.
  10. Stay updated with industry developments and regulatory changes related to treasury operations and implement necessary adjustments.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  2. Prior experience in treasury operations or related financial roles, preferably in a foreign bank.
  3. Strong knowledge of treasury products, such as foreign exchange, money market instruments, and derivatives.
  4. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices in treasury operations, including HKMA and BNS regulations.
  5. Proficiency in using treasury management systems and financial software for cash management and treasury reporting.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends and risks.
  7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing treasury tasks and preparing reports.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced treasury environment.
  10. Professional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are a plus but not required.
