About Our Client
Founded in early 1980's, our client operates sourcing business around the world, with several manufacturing base invested in China.
-Establish long-term and short-term sourcing strategies to support overall business growth
-Understand customers' needs and maximize partnerships by high quality service to meet customer's objectives
-Drive the merchandising team to conducting market research and product sourcing for customers product categories
-Establish and maximize vendors relationships and their performance, including high quality and good price, on-time delivery, to ensure development of business to meet requirements
-Oversees Placement Meetings with vendors to ensure all requirements are communicated and comprehended
-Keeps all relevant parties abreast of new processes and best methods for specified merchandise categories with emphasis on procedures, vendor capabilities, price movements, competitor activity and financial performance
-Proactively analyze and manage available reports weekly/monthly to ensure business remains in line with Merchandising strategies and sales trends
-Coaches, motivates and develop direct reports
-Manages and reviews the performance of the team assessing potential for growth and identifying career path
The Successful Applicant
As a trading general manager, you are required to have at least Bachelor's degree or above, with more than 10 years in trading industry. You need to be details-oriented, self-motivated, dedicated, enthusiastic and energetic. You are supposed to have strong problem solving, negotiation, planning and organizational skills and the ability to travel locally and internationally.
