Our client is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager - Upstream Material Management to lead and optimize our sourcing and material planning operations. This role is critical in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials and components, supporting product development and production across a global supply chain.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute upstream material strategies aligned with business goals and sustainability targets.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including sourcing, negotiation, and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Quality, and Production teams to ensure material availability and compliance.
  • Monitor market trends and risks related to raw materials and proactively adjust sourcing strategies.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and inventory planning to support production schedules and minimize excess.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain or procurement, preferably in consumer goods or apparel/accessories.
  • Strong knowledge of upstream supply chain processes, vendor management, and material sourcing.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and innovation is a plus.
