About Our Client
This is a fantastic new role, for a rapidly expanding SME FMCG business with headquarters based in Hong Kong. We are looking for a end-end supply chain director with a global remit to help define the strategic supply chain of the business and provide robust leadership to the team.
The Supply Chain Director will have a broad field of responsibilities which includes driving continuous improvements in our procurement processes and ERP system leverage, sustaining world-class quality assurance capabilities across our global supply network and driving efficiency gains in our operating procedures.
You will direct and coordinate the company's supply chains and its enhancement programs, work closely with suppliers to co-create quality improvements while delivering highly competitive cost solutions, and drive continuous improvement in ERP system leverage and reporting capabilities. In addition you will investigate and resolve customer complaints on product performance, specifications or reliability and engage senior management to design supply chain solutions for new product categories. You will manage continuous improvement programs with suppliers and forwarders. You will lead Transparently measure and drive key supply chain measures such as customer service, cost and cash. You will manage a team of 15+ including forecasting, planning, logistics, warehousing, sourcing and quality, for FMCG items such as cosmetics and apparel.
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for candidates with strong backgrounds in either FMCG or trading companies. Ideally within cosmetics or apparel industries. We are looking for experienced supply chain directors, with a full end to end responsibility. Core supply base is in china but candidates with wider exposure, to help the company diversify would be a plus. This is a global role, so candidates with at least regional responsibility at Director level would be advantageous.
In addition, good business acumen and experience in running continuous improvement programs, a proven track record to analyse problems, detect root causes and resolve issues and a ability to manage new initiatives and projects meeting operating and budgetary targets
