Lead and manage a team of onshore and offshore technologist and engineers to design and develop complex systems revamp/projects across a variety of products and technologies.
  • Manage vendors to build, integrate and deliver high-quality business solutions
  • Liaise with internal users for project & production systems support activities

About Our Client

The job duties include driving engineering best practices and technology excellence, vendor management, resource management, stakeholder management, project governance and continuous improvement. It is expected this role will do technical system management, people management, and at times hands on development.

Job Description

  • Take the lead on key workstreams to help solve some of the most exciting problems from our users
  • Articulating complex technical solutions in a business friendly way, to senior stakeholders
  • Metrics-driven agile expert with a complete understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle
  • Work with product owners, scrum masters, technical leads and functional leads to drive timely delivery of quality solutions
  • Manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution



The Successful Applicant

  • Experience of working in the Insurance market or with insurance clients, including, but not limited to, Insurers, aggregators, brokers etc. in a similar role
  • Passionate about leading multiple mixed-discipline teams to deliver solutions to complex problems
  • Experience of running large digital transformation projects and capable of conveying key concepts and principles to your team and clients at multiple levels of seniority
  • Ability to lead as you will be responsible for running workstreams, building and leading full-stack teams, often across multiple geographies
  • Organised and passionate about building and delivering customer-centric propositions
  • Deep knowledge of the Agile delivery methodologies such as scrum and Kanban
  • Experience working in software delivery programmes, leading multi-skilled team and managing their commercials
  • Experience of the end to end cycle of software delivery
  • Experience of design and implementation of market-leading solutions and packages in: Web (online banking and public websites); Mobile banking, both native (iOS and Android) and hybrid; Vendor digital experience platforms
