As a Senior Merchandiser, you will be responsible in new product development for new and existing accounts, while overseeing the full merchandising execution from development through bulk production.

Job Description

  • Lead new product development (NPD) activities for new accounts, from concept interpretation to sample approval
  • Partner closely with buyers and internal product development teams to translate design briefs into commercially viable products
  • Act as the key liaison for new account on-boarding, managing expectations, timelines, and execution standards
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, Fabric Sourcing, QA/QC, Planning, Production, and Logistics teams
  • Manage sample development, costing, material sourcing, and margin alignment for new styles and collections
  • Drive critical path management to ensure development milestones and production timelines are met
  • Identify potential risks in development, quality, or capacity and propose effective solutions proactively
  • Support bulk order execution following successful style adoption
  • Prepare development summaries, costing analyses, and buyer presentations

The Successful Applicant

  • Diploma or above in Fashion & Textile, Clothing Technology, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of merchandising experience within apparel manufacturing, with strong exposure to new product development
  • Proven experience working on new accounts and development-driven merchandising
  • Solid understanding of garment construction, fabric sourcing, washing, and production processes
  • Commercially minded with a strong sensitivity to cost, margin, and feasibility
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple development timelines
  • Proficient in MS Office; PLM system experience is an advantage
  • Good command of English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a plus
