About Our Client

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager / Team Head for Market Risk and Liquidity Risk to join our bank in Hong Kong. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the market risk and liquidity risk functions. The successful candidate will have a solid background in risk management, with at least 8 years of relevant experience in the banking industry.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement comprehensive market risk and liquidity risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the treasury team to ensure effective risk management processes and strategies are in place, aligned with the bank's overall risk appetite.
  • Enhance market & liquidity risk management tools and frameworks in line with regulatory requirement such as HKMA SPM LM-2.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Treasury, Finance, Back office and Head Office.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies and auditors during examinations and audits, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in market risk and liquidity risk management within the banking industry.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese.
