Job Description

  • Support and enhance large-scale backup environments using Cohesity and NetBackup technologies.
  • Perform configuration, maintenance, and major version upgrades of backup platforms.
  • Manage backup operations covering large volumes of virtualised and physical servers.
  • Troubleshoot complex backup and recovery scenarios across databases and operating systems.
  • Handle deduplication storage, MSDP pools, and enterprise backup appliances.
  • Support database backup policies including Oracle, MSSQL, and system-level recovery.
  • Assist with bare metal recovery and storage-level snapshot backup operations.
  • Provide technical support during incidents, including after-office-hours when required.
  • Work closely with infrastructure supervisors in a hands-on operational role.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise backup solutions.
  • Strong practical experience with Cohesity and/or Veritas NetBackup platforms.
  • Proven experience handling large-scale backup environments with 1,000+ servers.
  • Solid knowledge of deduplication technologies and enterprise storage appliances.
  • Experience troubleshooting database backups and recovery procedures.
  • General familiarity with Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to ITIL processes such as incident and change management is an advantage.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy or OpenText SMAX is preferred.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
