About Our Client
Our client is a renowned and well established Hong Kong conglomerate with multiple business streams in Hong Kong and China.One of their acquired European construction and engineering business has been awarded multiple projects recently, and hence require a high calibre up to lead the HR function in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Managing Director with dotted line reporting line to a General Manager HR of a sister company, you will lead a team of HR and take up a pivotal role in providing leadership and direction to the HR function in line with business objectives. You will be responsible for a broad range of HR function including recruitment, manpower planning by project estimation, employment costs and budgeting by project stage, performance management, compensation and benefits and employee relations. To succeed in this role, you will work closely and effectively with senior management and act as a true business partner to provide strategic council to key stakeholders in the business while at the same time managing the day to day demands of the HR department. The company has been awarded a few construction and engineering projects and will be aggressively expanding next year, hence you will required to have relationship and experience working with recruitment partners on technical hiring projects. The role will also cover administration operations but will have a team to support on a day to day basis.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a professional qualification related to HR management and must be educated to degree level. Additionally this person must have a comprehensive understanding of HR practices, trends, labour law and employment ordinance in Hong Kong. Strong business acumen, numerical and analytical skills will be required whilst the ability to manage strategic projects while maintaining a practical hands-on approach are a necessity. You will b e pro-active, dynamic and energetic while also possessing a high level of maturity and confidence. Candidates with experience hiring technical positions will be highly sought after. Fluency in English and Chinese is essential.
