This is a great opportunity to work with a global leader in intelligence and consulting. With over 30 years of experience behind them, they are well known for their comprehensive research methodologies and hold an enviable position in the industry.
Their research based consulting solutions involving macroeconomics, public policy, geo-political analysis and country risk issues have supported important strategic decisions within both the public and private sectors in over two hundred countries.
They are now further expanding in Asia Pacific and looking to solidify their position in the region. To support this growth, they would like a talented Senior Business Development Manager to join their Regional team in Hong Kong.
As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will report to the Head of Sales, APAC based in Singapore and will be responsible for driving business development activities in Greater China with potential clients from private sectors. To do this you will be prospecting and building long-term relationships with senior management and key decision makers. Using a strategic and consultative approach, you will identify the pressure points of firms and showcase the firm's capabilities in solution implementation. You will work closely with other analysts and project managers for high quality pitches as well as provide monitory support during the project delivery stage. You will be following up on generated sales leads and referrals to develop new markets, and working with both the local and regional research team for support and resource management. This is a strategic role and you are expected to organically generate leads and drive the business forward.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this role, you should have around 5 years' experience in B2B solutions selling to clients in the public or private sectors. Those with a good track record in solution selling to State Owned Enterprises and/or a Postgraduate degree in fields such as International Affairs, Public Policy or Economics will be highly regarded. You should also have a background working in complex and changing environments as well as a solid understanding of world affairs, business trends, capital markets and economic principles.
To be eligible for this role, you should be an independent, proactive and strong hunter sales who enjoys developing and mapping out your own market. You should also have excellent presentation with good selling, presentation and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be a strong communicator in English and Mandarin.
