Job Description

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams across compliance, finance, and operations to design and optimise the brokerage's operating structure.
  • Act as the key point of contact between the Company and external stakeholders, including insurers, regulators, and strategic partners.
  • Lead and facilitate stakeholder discussions to negotiate commercial terms, resolve issues, and build long‑term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Source, assess, and onboard insurance carrier partners that align with the brokerage's strategic objectives and client requirements.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with insurers to secure competitive terms that support both business performance and client value.
  • Manage the rollout and integration of new insurance products to ensure a broad, compelling, and competitive product offering.
  • Establish operational best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and service standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements governing brokerage activities.
  • Track regulatory developments and market trends, proactively adjusting business strategies and operational frameworks where needed.
  • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities while contributing to the development and execution of strategic sales and growth plans.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients while actively expanding the client base to support sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver business initiatives aligned with agreed growth and profitability targets.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Business Development Senior Manager should have:

  • A strong background in the insurance industry.
  • Proven expertise in business development and relationship management.
  • Native English is a must
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A results-driven approach with a focus on achieving growth targets.
  • Knowledge of health insurance products and market trends.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills to develop effective strategies.
