About Our Client
Our client is a privately-owned US based Software Company with a global sales presence across the US, UK, Europe and Asia Pacific. For the Asia Pacific market, they have mainly been working via channel partners but are now looking to boost their sales presence, market share and profits in the region. You will be joining a fast-growing and exciting company that has a reputable name in the industry.
As the Sales Director, APAC, you will report to the VP of Global Sales and be responsible for driving strategic business activities within the APAC territory. To do this, you will be focusing on regional direct sales, technical support, training as well as indirect relationships with partners that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction. You will take on full P&L responsibility for the Asia Pacific region, leading and growing a high-performing team across different locations. This will include monitoring regional sales forecasts to meet company growth objectives. To ensure this is achieved, you will be working closely with the Regional Sales team members to set team objectives and identify new market opportunities. On top of sales responsibilities, you will also be supervising the Training & Technical Support functions to continually develop customer support services. Supporting the regional team, you will ensure that it is efficient and well equipped to handle both internal and external requests. You will be working closely with the Global Marketing Director and Regional Marketing Manager in delivering all regional marketing initiatives to support sales strategies.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this role you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related area - a background in applied statistics and/or an MBA degree will have advantage. You should have experience leading a regional sales team and enjoy strategically developing a regional market with a clear vision of growth. Excellent presentation with good negotiation, selling and interpersonal skills are necessary for this role. You should be a strong team manager with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to drive a region autonomously. You should have around 10 - 12 years' of sales management as well as experience developing and executing sales strategies, preferably in data analytics software solutions. A strong communicator in English and flexibility to travel on a regular basis will also be required for this role.
