About Our Client

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Risk Manager to join the team in Hong Kong. This role is ideal for professionals with 2-5 years of experience in risk management within the asset management or securities firms. You will play a key role in ensuring the firm's risk framework is robust, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.

Job Description

  • Review and enhance the firm's Risk Management Manual and internal policies to ensure relevance, adequacy, and effective implementation.
  • Identify, measure and monitor potential risks from existing and potential investment products, including market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, counterparty risk, operational risk, climate risk, on both pre-trade and post-trade basis
  • Perform daily and periodic risk monitoring for active funds andETFs, including:
    • Pre and post-trade compliance checks
    • Stress testing and liquidity risk assessments
    • Derivative counterparty risk evaluations
    • Daily fund performance, NAV, tracking error, and breach monitoring
  • Prepare risk and performance reports on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Support the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) review and testing to ensure preparedness for significant disruptions.
  • Coordinate Risk Management Committee activities, including scheduling meetings and drafting minutes.
  • Daily regular risk and performance reporting for funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and client mandates for risk metrics
  • Conduct research and analysis on risk-related topics of interest to senior management and compile administrative reports.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in risk management, preferably in asset management or financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with risk monitoring tools and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in Cantonese and English.
