We are seeking a skilled Risk Engineer/Developer (Python) with expertise in the Financial Services industry to join a technology-driven team. The ideal candidate will focus on developing and optimizing risk management tools and solutions.

Job Description

  • Build and improve tools supporting risk calculations, scenario analysis, exposure metrics, and margin workflows.
  • Automate routine operational tasks, including NAV/position/cash flow retrieval and scheduled fund data downloads.
  • Develop processes for ingesting files into internal systems and databases.
  • Set up orchestration pipelines for private market datasets-capital calls, distributions, and commitment tracking.
  • Enhance and debug existing risk applications to boost system accuracy, performance, and stability.
  • Integrate new datasets or metrics into current platforms without large‑scale redesigns.
  • Produce automated operational and risk reports-daily, weekly, and ad‑hoc.
  • Partner with risk, portfolio management, operations, and IT to gather requirements, test improvements, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure all developments adhere to internal controls, audit needs, and regulatory governance for private/illiquid asset data.

The Successful Applicant

  • Exposure to private market products and data structures.
  • Solid programming skills in Python or C#.
  • Comfortable working with SQL, ETL workflows, and large/complex data tables.
  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Airflow, cron, or similar scheduling tools.
  • Familiar with both Windows and Linux environments, including Git and basic DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and reliable execution in production environments.
