Job Description

This role reports to the Global Head of Policy.

Stakeholder Engagement & Ecosystem Coordination

  • Build and maintain a trusted network of researchers, developers, civil society groups, and technical communities across APAC.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing through workshops, roundtables, and regular policy digests.
  • Lead collaborative efforts to raise awareness and support educational campaigns on key policy issues.



Policy Strategy & Readiness

  • Monitor and map critical policy developments, consultations, and regulatory timelines across APAC jurisdictions.
  • Develop strategic frameworks and readiness plans to help the ecosystem anticipate and respond to emerging challenges.
  • Identify research gaps and coordinate neutral studies to inform public discourse.



Translation & Communication

  • Brief internal teams on regional policy trends and their potential impact on open infrastructure.
  • Translate technical concepts (e.g., consensus mechanisms, rollups, privacy protocols) into accessible narratives for non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with communications teams to produce high-quality educational content, including blogs, explainers, and visual resources.



Standards & Multistakeholder Participation

  • Track international and regional standards efforts and facilitate community involvement.
  • Organize open forums to reduce information asymmetry and promote inclusive dialogue.



Program Development

  • Design lightweight processes for sourcing input from the ecosystem.
  • Maintain a public repository of regionally tailored policy resources.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Regional Policy Manager should have:

· Experience in crypto, web3, or open-source ecosystems.

· Minimum 7 years of experience in public policy, legislative affairs, or regulatory strategy-ideally in tech, finance, or digital infrastructure.

· Deep understanding of APAC policy environments and regional coordination mechanisms.

· Exceptional communication skills with the ability to produce clear, neutral, and technically informed materials.

· Comfort engaging with blockchain developers and translating complex concepts for diverse audiences.

· Proven ability to convene stakeholders and foster trust across sectors.

· Background in coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives or standards development.

· Existing networks in government, academia, civil society, or technical standards bodies across APAC.

· Track record of producing public educational content (e.g., reports, visuals, microsites).
