About Our Client

Our client is a procurement consulting firm specialises in garment and accessories procurement and sourcing process. They serve companies with manufacturing base, consistent recurring purchases or acquiring major garment offices in the Asia-Pacific region; We're now looking for a Regional IT Manager to lead the Hong Kong site office for internal ERP, network infrastructure development and enhancement.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • The job involves managing projects across different enterprises of varying sizes and complexities by applying the best practices, standards, and tools for project management and software development life cycle (SDLC). The project manager is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed project plans that include all necessary information such as scope, activities, tasks, assignments, milestones, and estimates.
  • Furthermore, the project manager must keep a close eye on potential risks and issues, track their development, and manage them effectively. They must also communicate updates on project strategy, adjustments, progress, schedule, metrics, and overall project health on a weekly basis to stakeholders.
  • The project manager will coordinate and track the activities of the project team, which includes vendors, architects, business analysts, technical staff, and business stakeholders. They must conduct meetings, document discussions, decisions, and action items accurately. Additionally, they must manage the project team and vendors in all development, implementation, and governance processes, and coordinate all testing activities, including performance and security testing.
  • The project manager must ensure that the project scope is controlled and enforce strong project change management processes. They must take ownership of project issue resolution and risk management.
  • The project manager should also look for opportunities to leverage technology to achieve business unit objectives, and ensure that business units understand the technology solution, compliance to governance processes, and overall solution delivery. They must build, develop, and grow any business relationships that are vital to the success of the project.
  • The role may require occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines, and some travel may be necessary for training, conferences, and office visits. Finally, the project manager must fulfill any other duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

Job Requirement

  • A university degree or college diploma is preferred;
  • At least 8 years of direct experience in project management for business ERP related applications;
  • Retail/ FMCG/ Garment/ Textile/ Sourcing industry is preferred;
  • Proficient in project and portfolio management, including project planning, budgeting, and controlling processes;
  • Thorough understanding of application development and software development life cycle models, such as Agile, Scrum, and SDLC;
  • Capable of comprehending and presenting advanced business solutions in detail;
  • Skilled at communicating effectively with all levels of management, providing the right level of detail and focusing on relevant information.
  • Proficiency in project management software like MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience using various office software and systems, like Windows OS and the Office suite.
  • Bilingual (Both Cantonese and English)
