Job Description
- Determine strategic and scientific priorities through comprehensive and in-depth research and analysis
- Support Business Development on the search and evaluation of potential projects to ensure scientific rigor and strategic fit
- Oversee and manage the scientific progress of portfolio companies, identify and foster potential research collaborations and/or licensing deals
- Ensure effective executive and management presentations across different levels
The Successful Applicant
- A PhD/MD or equivalent in a Life Science field required; MBA would be a plus
- Experience in early stage portfolio strategy, research and development or business development with pharma or biotech
- Comprehensive knowledge of first-in-class drug discovery processes and portfolio assessment, knowledge of medtech and other emerging healthcare field is a plus
- A genuine interest in science, with deep understanding and curiosity of the scientific innovations in healthcare industry
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams at all organizational levels
- Strong quantitative and analytic skills
- Fluent in Chinese and English
