About Our Client

Our client is a Marine Risk Management solution company, founded for more than 20 years, they have market presence across various countries and region. Their products are utilised in various industrial including marine, aviation, logistics and energy to name a few. They are currently looking for a Performance and Operation Manager to look after one of their hero products specifically targeting the marine area.

Job Description

Performance Monitoring and Analysis:

  • Monitor vessel performance using advanced analytics systems and software.
  • Collect and analyze data related to fuel consumption, speed, engine performance, and other relevant parameters.
  • Identify deviations from expected performance levels and investigate root causes.
  • Collaborate with onboard crew and technical teams to address performance issues proactively.

Performance Optimization:

  • Develop strategies and initiatives to optimize vessel performance and fuel efficiency.
  • Provide recommendations for operational changes, route optimization, and voyage planning.
  • Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or maintenance to enhance performance.
  • Implement best practices and industry standards to ensure continuous improvement.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare regular performance reports and present findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate performance-related insights, trends, and recommendations to clients and vessel operators.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as weather routing and technical support, to provide integrated solutions to clients.
  • Support client meetings and participate in performance review discussions.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance and support on vessel performance matters.
  • Provide timely responses to client inquiries, addressing their concerns and providing solutions.
  • Provide technical support on the software usage to new onboarding client

The Successful Applicant

  • Excellent command in Mandarin and English
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in vessel performance management, marine operations, or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of vessel operations, including propulsion systems, fuel consumption, and performance monitoring.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to drive performance improvements.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring systems, software, and tools used in the maritime industry.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to vessel performance and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Occasional travel might be required
