About Our Client
Our client is the FMCG key players across the world. They are looking for a talent with strong packaging/ direct materials procurement experience to be one of their calibres in the Hong Kong team.
You will be responsible carry out packaging/ direct materials procurement projects and ensure they are completed in a timely manner. You will work closely with the R&D team, external suppliers and manufacturing team. You will execute the project plans and be the final approver of the projects. You will monitor the processes and liaise with suppliers and related parties to ensure the standard is being met. You will develop and implement strategic sourcing policies to achieve financial goals and performance. You will proactively complete research and analyse the current market situation and develop strategies for supply chain capacity, planning and technology developments. You will select and manage suppliers so that the best possible price is guaranteed. You will be responsible for implementing sourcing strategies across high-quality suppliers. You will ensure every stage are under supervision and supplier performances are up to standard. Finally, you will review the supplier's performances and other activities.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify, you will have at least 5 years of experience in packaging/ direct materials procurement management experience in the FMCG industry. A bachelor degree is essential, whereas it would be an advantage if you have previous background in Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project Management. The technical understanding of packaging engineering, printing & converting technologies and packaging materials will be fundamental. Good command in English is fundamental.
