Our client is a top American Investment/ Private Bank and they are currently looking for an Onboarding Analyst to join their account onboarding team to handle end to end new account opening and client documentation review for HNW clients. The candidate should have 2-3 years of working experience in account opening, client onboarding, SOW review for HNW clients within private banking/ wholesale banking.

About Our Client

Our client is the one of the largest American Investment/ Private banks, headquartered in New York City. They are now looking for a PWM Onboarding Analyst to join their account onboarding team to handle end to end new account opening and client documentation review for high-net-worth clients. The team is responsible for front-to-back process for onboarding clients and for ensuring the account opening documentation and client profile complies with the firm's and regulatory requirements. Our client base consists of individuals, joint account holders, personal holding companies (PHCs) and PHCs owned by Trust as well as an expanding non-traditional client base of funds, subsidiaries of listed companies, operating vehicles, etc. The team in Hong Kong office covers mainly China and Hong Kong clients, with some Taiwan, Thailand and Philippines clients.

Job Description

  • Responsible for end-to-end new account onboarding, new account request handling, case review and management till the new account is set up
  • Handle wide range of account opening and client documentation submitted by Sales, review the document accuracy and completeness in accordance to the Bank's compliance and KYC requirements
  • Handle client documentation including but not limited to client identification and verification documents, contractual agreements, account application forms, investment profile questionnaire, tax forms, and other documents
  • Assist to review client's source of wealth profile, background check results and supporting documents for corroboration of Source of Wealth (SOW) and substantiation of Net Worth (NW)
  • Ensure accurate data entry and document upload onto the onboarding system
  • Liaise with Sales and relevant stakeholders on any missing documentation and inconsistent information inputted in the client's profile and the onboarding system

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or relevant discipline
  • 2-3 years of working experience in account opening, client onboarding, KYC/ SOW review for high-net-worth clients within private banking/ wholesale banking industry
  • Strong knowledge in KYC documentation review/ SOW assessment is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal English skills
  • Strong team player, smart and able to perform under pressure
